Green Cleaning
We are committed to the environment and we are doing what we can to promote environmental responsibility in our work. We call it green cleaning.
For many years we have been using biodegradable carpet cleaning products, but we are now switching over to products which are organic, non-toxic, and biodegradable which include products for housecleaning and carpet care.
These products are certified by three separate organizations:
- Green Seal certification is given to products which meet the environmental standards for industrial and institutional cleaners.
- Envirodesic certifies for maximum indoor air quality and use for environmentally hypersensitive individuals. This certification requires products which have low aquatic toxicity and biodegrade readily.
- Environmental Choice certification is given to organic products that meet Canada’s environmental criteria. These include products which are biodegradable and have low toxicity.
The product we use for painting is called Envirocote, an odorless, water soluble paint with a microbial agent and can be used in special situations.
Occasionally there will be situations which require us to combine traditional products with green products to insure a thoroughly hygienic result.
